The Complete Process for a Deep Carpet Clean

Not every carpet cleaning process fits all situations, and that's why it's essential to have a trained professional assess your specific needs. Factors like soiling, fiber type, and overall condition play a crucial role in determining the most effective approach.

Let me walk you through an example of a process we commonly use, especially for moderately soiled synthetic carpets:

Step 1: We start by vacuuming the carpet to remove as much dry dirt as possible from the fibers. This is a crucial step to prevent dirt from turning into sludge during the wet cleaning process.

Step 2: After identifying the fiber type (yes, different carpets require different chemicals), we mix a pre-spray detergent and apply it to your carpet. This detergent is designed to grab hold of dirt within the fibers and suspend it for the next extraction stage.

Step 3: We use a counter-rotating brush machine to ensure the spray is thoroughly brushed in, reaching even the deepest dirt. This step is often missed by home-bought or rental machines like Rug Doctors.

Step 4: The extraction phase is vital, and this is where home machines usually fall short. We inject high-pressure water into your carpet while simultaneously lifting out dirt and detergent using industrial vacuum motors. DIY machines not only leave dirt behind but also leave detergent in the fibers, attracting more dirt. Failure to use an industrial machine in this stage can lead to rapid re-soiling and damage. Our chemicals in this phase neutralise the Ph level of the carpet, and we use a polymer product to protect the fibers.

Step 5: At this point, we offer an optional protection application at an additional cost. This extra layer gives peace of mind, especially for customers with expensive natural carpets made of materials like wool.

Step 6: Nobody wants a wet carpet, so we use industrial Dri-Pods to expedite the drying process, getting your carpet ready for use as soon as possible after the clean.

It's important to note that the above operation is not achievable with DIY attempts or equipment. For a professional cleaning of your carpets or upholstery, contact us today for a personalised quotation.
